When there is active violence, time is of the essence, and you cannot always wait for EMS to come. AVERT provides you with the confidence and tools you need to assess and respond quickly in an active shooter situation, as well as how to use stop the bleed practices in life-threatening bleeding situations.

An active shooter situation can occur in any location. It can happen at your workplaces, open spaces, schools, government facilities, places of worship and even your residence.

Active Shooter Atlanta provides you with the opportunity to equip your team with the training, confidence and techniques needed to save lives in an active shooter situation. This course is designed for all types of organization.

It is important to train your employees or organization with Active Shooter Training through AVERT. The reason behind this statement is because you have to make sure that your employees or organization are prepared for the worst. More than 400 schools, businesses, and government facilities in the United States have been put on lockdown. It would be impossible for any of these people to make it out alive if they were unprepared for an attack in their workplace or school.

Who benefits from AVERT?

AVERT’s curriculum, which was previously exclusively presented to industry professionals, has been carefully tailored for the general public by medical and law enforcement specialists. Unlike other training programs that solely teach run, hide, fight techniques, AVERT employs a dynamic method to teach proactive awareness, how to react and protect yourself and others in a violent situation, and how to stop the bleed of severe injuries that are frequently sustained as a result of these occurrences.

AVERT’s unique blend of active shooter response training and bleeding management procedures designed to halt the flow in an emergency will help everyone. AVERT training is applicable to all businesses and places.

Is AVERT required in the workplace?

Everyone has the right to work in a safe workplace. There is no explicit OSHA requirement for workplace violence. However, the General Duty Clause of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (the OSH Act, or the Act) governs the extent of an employer’s commitment to address workplace violence, which is frequently construed to encompass protection against workplace violence.

How does the AVERT program work?

AVERT training is offered in a “blended” approach. This implies that participants will first receive online training to familiarize themselves with the topic and prepare them for the instructor-led session. The three-hour instructor-led in-person program offers exciting hands-on training, practical drills, and information with supportive feedback. Class numbers are kept at 15 persons or less per teacher so that all participants exit the AVERT program feeling confident in their ability to respond.
